There is one more job before the fun can begin - trimming the tops of the brackets
Hi,
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!
I really like the wharf deck there. If you don't mind me asking, where did you source your SG wharf deck? An ebayer is selling a 140x25 SG wharf deck feature for $6.80 per lm. I am preparing to do a low level deck at my alfresco and keen on using wide and thick ones.
I have a small ironbark deck at my front verandah which is very low 75mm. I have cutek over it with chestnut tint and I really love the colour especially when it rained the water just beads on top.
How does it look like now after a few years of installation? How often do you apply Cutek over it?
Thanks! appologies for too much question.
cheers!

Hi, thanks for your commnents!
DeleteThe wharf decking boards were sourced from Nullabor Timbers in Williamstown. They were 135x34 pencil round with 1 side rough sawn and in set lengths of minimum 3.6m as I didn't want any joins. This pushed the cost up, not sure what the l/m price was but it cost me around $1500.
I re-applied the Cutek after a year as the colour had started to fade a bit and looking at it now another year later it needs doing again, so I would suggest it's something that needs doing every year, depending on how much direct sun it gets.
Hope this helps!!
