1st coat of sealer/undercoat, I used British Paint 3 in 1

And then a 2nd coat

Blueboard preparation

The joins and nail holes in the blueboard panels need stopping up with a cementious compound and fiberglass tape, followed by a topcoat.
And because this Melbourne rain has been forecast before there is time to apply a sealer, another trip to Bunnings for some drop sheets. I've now ruled out orange for the wall colour.

Scale model progress

I've done some work on my scale model and tried out a few different colour combinations using actual paint swatches, leaning towards these colours at the moment.. a stone colour for the room and chocolate for the feature wall with grey/concrete pots

Lacework and a Window

A scavenge hunt around a salvage yard yielded these little babies, not too sure where they will end up but they are rusted to perfection

And from Ebay... every room needs a window (cedar)

More framing

More framing and blueboard for the rear and side fences

Lower Deck framed and gutters painted

Slow progress over the last few days...rain stopped play and there was a horse race - but managed to dig a couple of holes for concrete footings for the structure posts.

The joists for the "sunken" room have been levelled and fixed

Finally some sun.. Tawdy is happy catching some rays

I never thought I would have to buy Mission Brown but the gutters and facia needed a refresh
